Landscape Museum
The Landscape Museum of Villa Contarini Giovanelli Venier, located on the piano nobile of the villa, is a space dedicated to discovering and enhancing the territory of the Colli Euganei and its evolution over time.
The exhibition route features a rich collection of reproductions of ancient maps, historical cartography, and documents that illustrate the transformation of the landscape, agricultural organization, the network of waterways, and the development of settlements. Through images, explanatory panels, and thematic insights, visitors can understand how human intervention has shaped the natural environment over the centuries, creating a balance between nature, architecture, and productive activities.
The museum thus offers an integrated interpretation of the territory, bringing together history, geography, and culture, and inviting visitors to view the landscape not merely as a backdrop, but as a living heritage to be understood, protected, and enhanced.
